3500+. 525+. 6.
Total participants. Monthly average. Months open.
Two years ago, if you had told us that over 3,500 people would use The Space On Main within the first 6 months and that it would average 525+ monthly visitors, we would have told you that you were crazy. That is, until we sat down and tallied up usage this weekend. Just so we are on the same page, 3,500 is more than the population of Bradford. In the first 6 months of being open.
Participants have driven from Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, and Quebec, Canada to attend events at The Space. Day Pass users have visited from as far away as California (the result of a Google search to make sure there was a coworking space in the region that this individual wanted to buy a house).
Our participants have ranged from less than 1 to nearly 100 years of age. The average age of our monthly membership is 47 years old. Our members travel from 5 minutes to up to 45 minutes to use The Space on a regular basis (which is averaging 10 days per month).
The response to The Space has been overwhelmingly positive and we need your help to keep it going. If you have the resources to support us, we promise to put it to good use. Donate here...

Wait, who uses The Space and what do they do?

But we haven't even shared our favorite part...
This is the kind of stuff that really keeps us going:
At least a dozen other VT/NH community projects have reached out for support, advice, or assistance to create similar spaces for their communities.
We get several requests per week to help individuals connect with area resources, to help them network, or to become more civically engaged members of their communities (all across VT & NH).
Membership is not required for people who plan on renting rooms for events / classes, for people who opt just to pay for day passes, or for attendees of classes / events.

Interesting In Teaching?
The Space is only as valuable as the opportunities that it provides to the surrounding community. In an effort to support both avid learners as well as those with skills to share, we are on the look out for courses/workshops to offer. Instructors receive 50% of income made from SOM classes.
