Community News & Updates

Thank you to all the Maintainers who responded to the opt-in survey.
We had a phenomenal response rate, hearing back from 122 of the 145 Maintainers who were contacted. The information we collected will be very helpful while we plan the next round of Maintainer recruitment and onboarding, to better identify the lessons that will benefit most from new intake.

Update from the Workshop Administration Team
Shout out: Big thank you to Luna L Sanchez Reyes and Heather Ciallella for their help at the recent Software Carpentry workshop at Rutgers University!! They both jumped in last minute to help and had a very successful workshop. Congratulations Luna and Heather!! We so appreciate you and all that you do!

Reminder: You can sign up to teach at any Carpentries workshop, regardless of your badge! We value all contributions and hope that you feel empowered to try something different or new.

Library Carpentry Curriculum Advisory Committee Update
A huge thanks to Tim Dennis for volunteering to act as Chair for the Library Carpentry Curriculum Advisory Committee. Tim is taking over the chair from Liz Stokes, who will continue to participate as a member of the CAC and Chair of the Library Carpentry Advisory Group.
