Renewal #18

Be the hero
Hey friends,

I hope you're alright.

Last week, I was chatting with a friend about an Anime we both liked. He could not get my references because although he had read and watched the story, he had only stuck to the main plot and battles, not the side parts that grew to be the best parts of the show.

Now, why do I tell you about it? Well, I think that there are an infinite number of ways to go from point A to point B. Some will be faster, easier or more straightforward than others, sure, and, as humans we often want to optimize everything, take the shortest roads and avoid any difficulties.

Yet, I find that there is joy and pleasure to find in the long journey, the experience to get from point A to point B. You’re the hero of your own life and every new mistake, every new obstacle on your path is only an opportunity for you to learn. It’s only by embracing the full story: your successes AND your failures, that you’ll get to save the day.

So today, tomorrow and the day after, be the hero, you and everyone around you need. Be yourself!
— What I learned this week
The format of the newsletter is most likely going to change in the next few weeks as I'll try to include more specific tips and tools for your specific needs. In the meantime, here are some apps that I've loved lately:
📃  What app I'm loving: Pocket • Pocket has been one of my favorite apps, for... the last 10 years? Whenever I find an article or a video that I'd like to dive in later, I just bookmark it in Pocket. It's free and very practicaL
📖 One quote I'm loving today :
“The best way to predict the future is to invent it” — Alan Kay.
— What I created for you this week
One new post this week! Don't hesitate to leave your feedbacks and thoughts in the comments 😁
You can't always plan everything
For the all-time perfectionnist like I am. You can't always plan everything. Sometimes, you just have to accept and go with the flow of things.
We all have 24 hours
No, Steeve Jobs, Elon Musk or Bill Gates don't have more time. They just do the must they can with what they have.
Alright, that's all for me this week! Thank you once more for reading. If you found some value in this issue, don't hesitate to recommend it to your friends! They can subscribe here.
See you next week,
Mathieu Céraline.
