Update 4 for Get Off My Lawn!

Thank you for subscribing for updates for A Whim Away's upcoming new book, Get Off My Lawn! I've been using Scrivener to write my manuscript, and I'll focus a little on that today.

Scrivener is a word processing software that was created with writers in mind, and it shows! It has several templates for different types of writing, for example in the fiction section you have Novel, Novel (with parts), and Short Story.

Using a template in Scrivener is really handy when you want to send your work to an editor as a Microsoft Word document. It's even useful when you want to format it for publishing.

What I really like about Scrivener is the multiple ways you can organise things. One way is using folders, and even documents can act like folders! Another is character and place templates. Each document also has a notes section, and you can also make comments similar to how Microsoft Word does it.

Scrivener has a free 30-day non-consecutive trial. This means you can use it on Monday, close it, and when you use it again on Friday you're only on the second day of your trial. They have a few video guides on their website to show how to use it.
