Afghan Ambassador Attends the Valedictory Ceremony of USWD Program

The Afghan Ambassador to India, H.E. Dr. Shaida Abdali attended the valedictory ceremony of a seminar titled “University Support Workforce Development program” at the Jamia Millia Islamia University on 8th Jan, 2017.  
Funded by USAID, the two-week program was jointly organized by the universities of Nebraska Omaha and Jamia Mallia Islamia as well as Nelson Mandela Centre for peace and Conflict resolution. FULL STORY
Ambassador Abdali's Interview with IRA
India has been very supportive and generous: Afghan envoy
Shaida Mohammad Abdali is the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to India since 2012 and the non-resident Afghan Ambassador to Bhutan, Maldives and Nepal. He has steered bilateral relationship between Kabul and New Delhi through challenging times as the two nations have worked to forge ties for the reconstruction of Afghanistan and fight against terrorism. During his stint in India, he has authored a book 'Afghanistan Pakistan India: A Paradigm Shift' which calls for one 1he need to end conflicts in the region and focus energies on defeating terrorism and for socio-economic development.

Afghan Students Take Part in Food Food Festival
With the support of Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in New Delhi, Afghan Students took part in a food festival held at Jawaharlal Nehru University on 26th January, 2017.
As before, the Afghan foods stall witnessed large number of visitors which indicates the popularity of the Afghan cuisines. 
Mohammad Mirwais Balkhi, Minister Counselor of the Embassy along with other diplomats attended the inauguration of the festival.
The International Food Festival is organized by JNU's Foreign Students Association every year on 26th January to celebrate the Republic Day of India. This year, students from around 20 countries prepared and showcased national dishes of their countries. 
Afghanistan Powerlifting Team’s Thumping victory
Afghanistan National Powerlifting Team led by Alireza Rafizada participated at Subrata Classic International Powerlifting BENCHPRESS & DEADLIFT Championship, held by organizing committee of Indian Powerlifting Federation from 26-30 December 2016 in Jamshedpur, India. FULL STORY
