The Afghan Embassy Celebrates Nowruz

Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in New Delhi celebrated the International Day of Nowruz jointly with the embassies of Azerbaijan, Uzbekestan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan on March 20, 2017 at The Umrao Hotel.

Recognized by UNESCO as the International Day of Nowruz, this day is celebrated by many nations across the world.  Embassies of the Nowruz region countries jointly celebrate this day every year in Delhi. FULL STORY 


Ambassador Abdali Attends Nowruz Celebration at JNU

H.E. Dr. Shaida Mohammad Abdali attended Nowruz Celebration and inaugural session of national seminar on “Pashto, Dari and Urdu: A Common Linguistic and Cultural Heritage” and spoke about historic background of Nawrooz and its celebration in Afghanistan. Afghanistan and India to Ink Agreement for Cooperation in Railway Sector

A delegation from Afghanistan comprised of MohammadYama Shams, Director General and CEO of Afghanistan Railways Authority (AfRA), Amanullah Ghalib, Deputy Minister of Energy & Water and Ahmed Saed Hamdard paid a working visit to India from February 22 to 27, 2017.

The visit aimed to forge technical cooperation between Afghanistan and India in the sectors of railways and renewable energy.

The delegation met Suresh P. Prabhu, Minister of Indian Railways on February 23, 2017 to seek India’s technical assistance in implementing Afghanistan National Railway Plan (ANRP). At the meeting India’s Railways Minister evinced his country’s interest in taking part in developing railway infrastructure in Afghanistan and both sides agreed to ink an agreement for cooperation between the railway authorities of the two countries. How will the changing political situation in the US affect peace-building in Afghanistan?

The war against terrorism began 15-16 years ago by the US. Sanctuaries for terrorists still exist, and so do their support networks. Their 16-year war has not brought us the right results. We hope they will rethink their entire approach towards the war against terrorism. READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE
