AGRI-SUPPLY CHAIN HELP TARGETED
Food and agribusiness are listed as priority industry sectors for Supply Chain Facilitation Assistance from the Australian Government. The program offers free access to a skilled advisor to strengthen your supply chain and improve your ability to access new markets. You must have been trading in at least three successive years with turnover (or operating expenditure) in the current, or one of the last two financial years, of more than $1.5m ($750,000 for applicants from remote or northern Australia). R&D FUNDING ON OFFER
Grants are worth between $50K and $500K are available through the Inspiring Australia – Science Engagement Programme to organise research teams, collect and analyse data. Applicants must have an Australian Business Number. They must also be an incorporated entity in Australia, an eligible research organisation, publicly funded research organisation, incorporated non-profit, or local government agency or body. Joint applications are acceptable, provided one of the applicants is eligible based on the above requirements. Projects must have a minimum duration of three years. The total annual budget is $1m. NATIONAL AG OPPORTUNITY
Applications are now open for the $14.9m national Farming Together program. This Federal Government initiative is a two-year campaign for primary producers and processors to collaborate and claim marketplace power.
Any Australian citizen who farms within the ATO-recognised guidelines can register to receive a free one-on-one consultation to discuss their opportunities and appetite to create a successful collaborative group.
This could be either as a co-operative, as a collective bargaining entity or as a collaborative group. Existing groupings may also apply.

$10m TO FIGHT WEEDS & PESTS

LAUNCHING PAD FOR EXPORT SMARTS
Start-ups looking to start exporting are invited to join the Landing Pads program which offers use of innovation hubs in San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Shanghai, Berlin and Singapore. Successful applicants get a workspace for up to 90 days, with access to coaching, introductions to mentors, investors and customers, training opportunities and tailored networking events as well as advice on how to negotiate the local business culture. Export Market Development Grants encourage small-medium businesses to develop export markets. ASSISTANCE FOR RURAL STUDENTS
Bendigo and Adelaide Bank scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding, but disadvantaged students from a rural or regional area attending university for the first time who, due to social or financial circumstances, would not have been able to further their education. ISRAELI TRADE SUPPORT
Victorian food and fibre industries are listed as a priority area for funding under the Victoria-Israel Science Innovation and Technology Scheme. The scheme allows for up to $2K reimbursement for accommodation and travel expenses to attend trade missions, conferences, meetings or other events in Israel as well as the opportunity to attend a trade mission in Israel.
