 Are you ready to vote?

Two weeks until Election Day! Early voting is underway in many states including Texas, so what are you waiting for?

Based on the reader emails in my inbox, you may be asking yourself, "What's the deal with the Texas voter ID law?"

Let's spend this email first finding our way through the political and legal miasma:

What does that mean when you go to the polls?

Registered voters who are unable to provide approved forms of ID will be allowed to vote anyway, as long as they can provide any document that lists a name and address, such as a pay stub or utility bill.

Click here for many more details on the voting process including all of the acceptable forms of identification, information about early voting locations and Election Day polling places.

Still undecided about whom to vote for? We have a voter guide that will show you the candidates in the races on your individual ballot.

The Dallas Morning News Editorial Board also makes recommendations in races. Here is a full list if that sounds helpful.

And in still other election news:
If all of that news doesn't get you excited about voting, maybe a piece of pop culture will do the trick.

The West Wing election day joke
Josh Lyman's stress in this episode of The West Wing reminds us to use care when filling out our ballots whether you vote early or on Election Day.

Where in the world are the candidates?

Remember to take care, friends!

Take a deep breath in through your nose. Now, let it out gently as you watch the majestic monarch butterflies dance about the flora at the Dallas Arboretum.

The weary travelers are in town for a short spell. Catch them in person before they head to warmer weather in Mexico.

Catch you on Thursday morning!
