It is done.
It is 3:35 a.m. in Dallas as I write this final email to you from my couch. The results are in. Stories published. Front pages printed.
For this final note, I will be brief.
Of course there is a lot for the entire nation to process. Beyond the presidential race, there were important local races across the country. For those results, I direct you to the results page of our elections live blog.
The politics team has a whole slew of stories published already and more are on the way. Find those here.
Thank you so much for subscribing to the Election Endgame over the past couple of weeks. I sincerely appreciate you being with me as we finished out the 2016 election cycle.
I urge you today and in the coming days to call your people — they could be a parent, a sibling a friend. Remind that person that they are loved and valued for who they are.
Remember for yourself that you too are an important and valued person. My wish for you is that you are able to take a step back and find something in your everyday life that is new and wondrous.
Above all, I hope that after all of the noise from this cycle, you are able to find time for your own thoughts
No matter who you supported yesterday, you deserve a hug.
I'll see y'all on the internet.
