New Years Resolutions
And listen, I know New Years Resolutions are only ever set up to fail. I mean I made three last year and only managed to keep up with one. This year is probably going to be the same, but if you don't aim for something, you're not going to hit anything, yeah?
I haven't quite figured out what I'm going to try and accomplish yet this year. Of course I'm going to try and step up in the fitness department. I'm slightly less Big Tim this year as I've lost 7.5 kgs in the last twelve months. So, I could do more of that.
But as far as my writing is concerned, I'm planning to step up my game in that department too. I did two consecutive writing courses this last quarter, and already feel like I've learned so much. And I look forward trying to apply this new knowledge to future stories.
Now, this is the resolution I always fail at, but I know I'm going to try and make it again. It's all about me making time for me and looking after my mental health. I have a habit of over committing to far too many projects. As it is, I'm still doing one of my writing courses that hasn't quite finished yet, a (semi) weekly podcast with my brother, rehearsing to play Uncle Fester in Addams Family: The Musical, as well as working on my comics. This is also juggled with my full-time job and family.
So, as you can see, I struggle to say no when an opportunity arises.
But, another thing about New Years.
If you've read this far, I'm going to be making a push on my social medias between now and New Years to get more Patreon Backers. I thought I'd let you folks know here first, since you're my people.
For everyone who pledges on my Patreon page between now and New Years is going to get a copy of Cthulhu Williams #0 (adult colouring in variant cover) mailed out to you. That's right, pledge as little as $1 a month and you'll get the comic posted out to you. Now, I know a bunch of you may already have this one, but hey, it could make an awesome gift to another comic book nerd friend, or maybe you just wanna try a different colouring scheme. Either way, it'll be your's to do with as you wish.
I'm putting my money (or comics) where my mouth is, and I want to immediately give you value for your buck.
Included in your pledge is more BTS stuff with my latest comic Gorilla my Dreams, and the chance of more bonus stuff.
So, check out my Patreon page and if you like what you see, pledge as little as $1 a month for all the inside scoops.
You can also follow me on whichever of my social networks you hold dear; Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. It'll be cool to see you there.
Finally, thanks for coming along for the ride. I love making comics and I love that you kinda dig them.
Aaaaaaaaaaand I better get into my homework.
Peace guys, and be good to each other.
