The townhall takes place on Thursday, February 24 at 7:00pm ET.

Minister of Emergency Preparedness Bill Blair, MPP Mitzie Hunter, City Councillor Paul Ainslie, and I will be speaking at the townhall.   

The theme of this townhall is public safety and security.

2022 Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Application Period Open

Deadline: February 22, 2022

The application period for the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is now open.

The program provides funding for community-based projects and celebrations in honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Projects that are supported include those that:

  • mark the 70th anniversary of the reign of Her Majesty The Queen
  • offer Canadians an opportunity to learn about our history and symbols, particularly in relation to the role of the Crown in Canada
  • highlight how Canada has evolved over the past 70 years under Her Majesty’s reign and look to the future of our nation
  • commemorate the long-standing relationship between the Crown and Indigenous Peoples
