The Queen's Platinum Jubilee marks 70 years of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. To mark this historic event, my office recognized a number of exceptional individuals in Scarborough - Guildwood for their community service. Congratulations to all the nominees.

NEW IRCC Digital Case Status Tracker
|
|
|
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has launched a new digital case status tracker website that allows eligible families access to permanent resident applications statuses, sponsorship application statuses, and other information online. The tracker is available for PR applicants in the spousal, partner, and dependent child categories.

Those travelling this Spring and Summer should ensure they are preparing well in advance. Testing requirements may be required and a fully-filled ArriveCAN app is required for flights coming into Canada.

Update: On January 31, 2022, the Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship announced a suite of new measures that will help reduce wait times and modernize Canada's immigration system. These include:
- The hiring of 500 new processing staff.
- Expansion of online applications for PR applicants.
- Creation of a PR tracker for spousal sponsorship applications.
- Update to online processing times tools to give applicants estimates on the time it will take to process their applications.
