December 2016
Warmest greetings this holiday season!  We have wonderful news to share with you: USLCA's peer-reviewed journal, Clinical Lactation, has been indexed!  This is a gift that truly will keep on giving.  As an indexed journal, the articles in Clinical Lactation will be served in searches through databases such as Pubmed/NLM (Selected Articles), EBSCO, Proquest, Cabell’s, and Research4Life.  Researchers, policy authors, and clinicians will be able to easily locate the rich archive of clinical articles contained in our journal.  Being indexed makes writing for Clinical Lactation more attractive to potential authors, and it will raise the level of awareness of the work that we all do every day as IBCLCs.
USLCA is proud to bring you this announcement of a very important professional development.  Your Board of Directors and Executive Director work hard every day to ensure that the needs of our members are being addressed and that advocacy for the IBCLC is happening all over the nation.

Clinical Lactation Needs You!

Clinical Lactation is currently seeking reviewers for the journal. Reviewers are asked to review 1-2 manuscripts per year. Manuscripts are sent to reviewers through Editorial Manager, our manuscript-review software. Reviewers are asked to read manuscripts sent to them, rate the quality of the manuscript, provide feedback to the authors, and make publication recommendations to Editors.

We are seeking reviewers who are clinicians in a wide range of settings including hospitals, private practice, and in the community. As this is a clinical journal, reviewers do not need to be researchers. We need reviewers with clinical experience.

If you are interested in becoming a reviewer, please contact Clinical Lactation's Editor, Kathy Kendall-Tackett, kkendallt@gmail.com.
