Lunch at Marsden Estate - KeriKeri
|
|
Ladies who lunch- A group of us had a lovely lunch soaking in the amazing view on a sunny day. The food was very Moorish too and of course, we had a sample of the wine!
Here is what a couple of ladies have to say.
It is a beautiful setting with wide-ranging views, rows of grapevines, a pretty garden and a lake. The service was excellent and the food was a good value. I definitely recommend it as a place to go back for a special occasion and take your visitors. -- Deirdre Nicholls
"We had a lovely lunch at Marsden Estate in Kerikeri. A superb setting and great food!" - Sue Mostert

Life on a Greek Island
It was an interesting and a privilege to hear Jennifer Starr's life living on Agistri in the beautiful Aegean sea.
She shared stories of the children swimming in the warm blue waters from the sandy beaches; of ferry rides to the Greek mainland and the ancient city of Athens.
Learning the language was a challenge especially mastering new vocabulary when the children started school which could only begin once the local priest arrived and performed a blessing. There were many special days of festivals and celebrations. The children wore the national colours of blue and white with the top student having the honour of carrying the flag.
We saw photos of stunning scenery, mountains, rivers and the azure sea surrounding the tiny island.
Jennifer made a traditional Greek pudding called Galatopita. A delicious bake. find out the recipe on the website.
We also had a visit from our previous Chairperson, the lovely Mina Crisp, (A video chat from England)

Mums & Bubs walk - June 2022
|
|
Wet and Windy day didn't stop us, mums, with our little bubs from taking a walk around the loop. The kids did their thing, some dozed off, some wanted snacks, some wanted cuddles, and some were just looking around with their curious little eyes. 6 of us had a great time exchanging notes on how our bubs are and what are they doing. A great day ended with a well-deserved hot chocolate/coffee/ breakfast.
The mums and bubs group will be held on the first Thursday of every month.

Need to buy /sell a specific something, or swap an item. How about a lift to Auckland, find a good hairdresser, a decent restaurant for that special occasion!! Want a good plumber, or just to make a general enquiry.
