Thursday 8th of Dec 2022. from 4 pm - 8 pm.

Lots of cool things to buy for Christmas presents, face painting, storytelling corner for the kids. delicious food, raffles, Santa, a Display of International Christmas traditions and much more.

WINGS at the Christmas Tree Festival

St. John's Golden Church is preparing a magical Festival of Christmas trees. WINGS will have a decorated tree in the Church celebrating and advertising our organisation. All the decorations have been donated/handmade by our WINGS ladies, which will brighten up a tree.
We need a couple of people to help us with the decoration. Please text/email at wingsnz@hotmail.com / 021 0829 0683. All we want is a couple of hours time on the 25th Nov at 11:45 am at St. John's Golden Church.

Well, here we are at the end of the month. A Festive month filled with joy, laughter, sparkles and gifts. We all like a good book don't we? Let's celebrate the last WINGS monthly theme meeting of the year with an Icelandic Christmas Tradition of giving books. Bring one pre-loved book of any genre that you are willing to part with. We will swap a book this evening. We also have the Harmony Chorus to entertain us. Stay tuned.

A few of our WINGS ladies went to watch the Quarter finals on the 29th of Oct. Thank you to Whangarei District Council for giving away free tickets to the local communities. It was a great day filled with fun, enthusiasm and lots of cheering.

Wednesday Monthly Meeting - November 2022

|
It was a very fun and entertaining evening. Our Canadian friends, Liane, Norma, & Susan Cooney took us through the Canadian Thanksgiving celebration. Showing us beautiful pictures and giving us a virtual tour of Thanksgiving day in Canada. Food is always the star of the show, isn't just? There was some delicious food on the table which is eaten on Thanksgiving day. Pumpkin pie, Canadian Hay Stacks, Pecan Pie, Sweet Potatoes & Filo are Simply mouth-watering.
Next month put on your glittery and sparkling clothes like, tinsels its Christmas theme night. Bring your friends, daughters, and neighbour.

Our WINGS Member went to play Table Tennis and very much enjoyed playing learning from others and particularly Naina. The sessions are for everyone, whether you have played before or not. Wear sports shoes and bring a drink - all equipment is provided.
