IMPORTANT - Extensive OIT System Maintenance February 4th - 5th
From Saturday, February 4, 6 am through Sunday, February 5, 6 pm, OIT will perform extensive system maintenance. Some services will be offline for the majority of the maintenance window and others may experience intermittent downtime or slow performance.

You should still be able to access your online classes and materials during this time, but if you have trouble logging in or the system is responding slowly, wait a bit and try again.

Global Training Initiative Upcoming Cross-Cultural Training Opportunities
The Global Training Initiative (GTI) is offering Foundations for Global Success on February 3, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and Developing Cultural Acumen on February 17, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. These workshops are intended for professionals who want to improve interactions with clients and constituents and learn a systematic approach to navigating cultural differences.
Executive Leadership Series with CEO of Seventh Generation
Join us for the next Poole College Executive Leadership Series Speaker which will feature John Replogle, President and CEO of Seventh Generation. Learn more about Seventh Generation's leadership in the consumer products industry including their B Corporation certification and the company's recent acquisition by Unilever. John Replogle’s conversation with Poole College Dean Annette Ranft, will take place on Wednesday, February 15th at 4:30pm. Learn more
Spring 2017 B Corp Clinic Launch
Join the NC State Poole College Business Sustainability Collaborative on Friday, February 3rd at 10am at the Frontier in RTP for the launch of the NC State Spring 2017 B Corp Clinic. The Clinic offers students hands-on consulting experience and the chance to learn about B Corporations, social and environmental impact assessment, and sustainable business models. NCGrowth is seeking excellent, highly-motivated graduate students with a wide range of skills and professional experiences – including agriculture, engineering, design – to work on applied economic development research and business assistance projects in rural NC. We are currently recruiting students to join our team of Economic Development Analysts for the summer and fall of 2017.
Analysts have the opportunity to work with NCGrowth staff, faculty, and community and business leaders on projects such as:
Analysts work on a remote basis with occasional required travel. Compensation is $20/hr. Typical projects consist of 100 hours of work done over the course of the summer or a semester, but may extend longer depending on the analyst’s schedule and the project scope.
- Making design recommendations for a downtown innovation district
- Performing a feasibility study for a wholesale food processor or a multi-county food hub
- Improving plant efficiency for a small manufacturer
- Assisting a rural community in leveraging natural and cultural assets to promote tourism and economic development

The Jenkins Graduate School recently launched 4 new Certificate Programs which closely align with some of our concentration areas.
If you have earned or are pursuing a concentration in Finance, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization then you may qualify for the certificate. This means the Certificate will officially show on your transcript and you will receive a certificate issued directly from the Graduate School. For more information on the Certificate Programs please visit the webpage here.
To Apply for the Certificate please send the Graduate Student Certificate Plan Entry Form directly to your advisor at firstname.lastname@example.org or OnlineMBAAdvising@ncsu.edu. Graduating Students should submit the form by March 1st at the latest.
**Please note that this is only for the concentrations listed above and is not a requirement for Graduation from the MBA Program.
** Also, this is different from the Decision Analytics Certificate. If you are completing that certificate make sure to communicate with Dr. Tonya Balan about your requirements.
Raleigh Residency #2 – Save The Date
For all the students required to register for Raleigh Residency #2, this core course is now listed as MBA 590-053 (professional evening main campus) and MBA 590-653 (RTP/online) under the Summer I 2017 schedule. RR #2 is scheduled for June 22-24, 2017 in Raleigh. You will see it listed as a 10-week course under the course title but this is only a 3 day course.

Jenkins MBA Basketball Tent Party

(We are still accepting RSVP and will accept them until 12pm Friday, February 3rd)
The NC State Jenkins MBA Program has purchased tickets to the February 4th, NC State vs. University of Miami Game. The program will be hosting a Pre-Game Tent Party on the South Plaza prior to the game with food, drinks and games for both adults and children!
After the Tent Party, stick around to watch the Game on two flat screen TV's or let us know below if you want to register for any tickets. Please note that tickets to the game are limited and will be given out - first come first served. RSVPs are required for both the tent party as well as for the basketball tickets.
Tickets will be distributed at the registration desk until tip off at 3pm. Any unclaimed tickets will be be given away.
Celebrate Black History Month at NC State
Multicultural Student Affairs and the Black History Month planning committee present Black History Month 2017. The Black History Month 2017 printable calendar highlights six featured programs, including lectures, discussions and workshops hosted by various offices, departments and organizations at NC State.
