The Conscious Capitalism Student Business Plan Competition 

The Conscious Capitalism Student Business Plan Competition take place at the 2017 Spring Conscious Capitalism Conference, in Philadelphia, PA from April 18-20, 2017. The purpose of the competition will be to promote awareness of Conscious Capitalism and more broadly purpose-driven approaches to business to young people, as well as support the most innovative ideas developed by students from around the country to elevate humanity through business.

First round submissions are due by March 14, 2017. Finalists will be invited to attend the 2017 Spring Conscious Capitalism Conference with registration, travel, and housing provided by Conscious Capitalism, Inc. The Grand Prize is an invitation for the winning team to attend the 2017 CEO Summit, an invitation-only event limited to 200 executives to spend 3 days sharing their experiences and learning from one another.

12th Annual Graduate Student Research Symposium

This is to announce that the 12th Annual NC State University Graduate Student Research Symposium will be held in the Jane S. McKimmon Center on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. The poster session will be from 1:30pm to 4:00pm.  This year, there will be over 200 poster presentations representing research being conducted in over 60 graduate programs.

This event is co-sponsored and organized by the Graduate Student Association and the Graduate School. Additional information may be found at:

The primary goal of the symposium is to showcase the outstanding quality and diversity of graduate research at NC State. This is a great opportunity for all to take a look at the interesting research projects being conducted at the graduate level. 

SCRC Semi-Annual Partners Meeting

The SCRC will host it's semi-annual partners meeting on 
April 20, 2017. Student tickets are free.

CEFS NC State University Graduate Fellowship Now Accepting Applications

The Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS) is now accepting applications for the CEFS NC State University Graduate Fellowship!

Fall 2017 Open Enrollment
Fall 2017 Open Enrollment will begin on March 20th for Graduate students

Quick advising sessions for all current Professional Online and Evening students will begin on Monday, March 13. Please be prepared when attending in person or over the telephone for the advising sessions.
These appointments are limited to 10 minutes and students should sign up to reserve a time slot with there advisor if you need assistance before or during the enrollment period. 

Please register for an appointment by choosing an available time slot on your advisor's appointment calendar.

Last Day to Drop a Class
The Last day to drop a class for Spring 2017 is March 13th. Graduate Students can perform this action in mypack portal through March 13th.
Spring 2017 Graduation
All Spring 2017 Graduating students should have received an email from their advisor on the steps needed to graduate in May. Please refer to the email for specific directions on completing those steps by the deadline on Wednesday, March 15th. 

If you believe you are graduating and did not receive an email, please email your advisor.

Graduation Apparel and the NC State Bookstore Graduation Fair
Caps, gowns, and other graduation apparel can be ordered through the NC State Bookstores website or during the NC State Bookstores Grad Fair.

Distribution of caps and gowns will take place beginning Wednesday, March 29 in Wolfpack Outfitters. Please follow the directional signs in the store. All graduation apparel must be paid for at the time of pick-up. Students must present a photo ID (either student ID or driver’s license).

NC State Bookstores will host the Grad Fair on March 29th and 30th in Wolfpack Outfitters in Talley Student Union. Representatives from WolfXpress (graduation announcements), Balfour (class rings), University Frames (diploma frames), Career Planning and more will be available to help answer your graduation questions.

During the Grad Fair, students can purchase their diploma frames for 10% off.

Raleigh Residency #2 – Save The Date
For all the students required to register for Raleigh Residency #2, this core course is now listed as MBA 590-053 (professional evening main campus) and MBA 590-653 (RTP/online) under the Summer I 2017 schedule. RR #2 is scheduled for June 22-24, 2017 in Raleigh. You will see it listed as a 10-week course under the course title but this is only a 3 day course.

For the second consecutive year, the NC State Women's Center will coordinate a series of programs for Women's HERstory Month throughout March. Several major events will highlight this year's theme, "Finding Our Freedom."
