The Department of Public Service picked up a total of 624 Christmas trees during curbside collection last month.

The Department of Public Utilities has recently cleaned 2,000 feet of sanitary sewers and 2,800 feet of storm sewers.

Income Tax Division continues to prepare for the upcoming filing season. The 2023 tax deadline is Tuesday, April 18.

The restrooms at Municipal Park are getting a facelift. New commodes, sinks, and partition doors are being installed. Walls are being painted and the floor is being resealed.

Sanitary Sewer Grant for Home and Business Owners

The 577 Foundation recently took advantage of the Sanitary Sewer Grant offered by the City of Perrysburg. These funds assist home and business owners remove clear water connections from the sanitary sewer. In certain areas of the City, clean water connections into the sanitary sewer system have contributed to sewer backups in times of heavy rains. Ditch Maintenance Activities to Begin

The City of Perrysburg is planning to complete ditch maintenance activities that will begin after February 7, 2023 – weather and schedule permitting. The project location is on Eckel Junction Road, from Ohio CAT to Taylor Kia. Public Utilities employees will be removing sediment and vegetation from the ditch on the south side of the road. Lanes will be reduced, but traffic will be maintained.

Minute with the Marshal: Hands Only CPR
|

The list of dates for CPR classes and First Aid for Babysitters classes for 2023 have been posted on our website. All classes are taught by a certified instructor from the Perrysburg Fire Division. Classes are held at the Fire Division Headquarters. The first CPR class will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 6-9 p.m. Cost is $50.

Safety Town Registration
The morning session for Safety Town is now full but many spots remain open for the afternoon session. Safety Town will be held June 5-16 and is for children in the Perrysburg School District who are entering kindergarten or first grade in the fall.

Parking Reminders
The Perrysburg Police Division has seen an uptick in parking violations and would like to remind residents about some of the rules when it comes to parking within City limits.

The City of Perrysburg currently has several job openings, including seasonal positions for the summer. Jobs include general labor for our parks (grounds/landscaping), litter crews, and helpers for the Summer Recreation Program and Safety Town. Our Department of Public Utilities is also hiring a stormwater intern. Visit the City's website to learn more about each position and to apply.

Photographers of all skill levels are invited to enter their original photographs depicting the beauty of the winter season on the sculptures at Woodlands Park! Visit Perrysburg is holding a Perrysburg Sculpture Walk Winter Photo Contest. The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate to Kohne Camera & The Print Refinery. The top 10 will be featured in a special social media promotion and on the Visit Perrysburg website.
