Next event - Digwyddiad Nesaf - Saturday/Dydd Sadwrn 02.11.2019

What a great night we had with Steve Tilston last month! It was the beginning of a slightly scrambled Autumn schedule, which we had tweaked to accommodate Steve' s tour dates. We were later than usual in August, and we had shifted our September gig, to line up with Antje Duvekot's tour, to next Thursday ... but unfortunately she has cancelled her entire UK tour due to illness. SInce it was relatively short notice, and we had lost our 'normal' 3rd Friday slot to another booking in the Cons' Club, we decided that, sadly, it was simplest all round to just cancel September's gig.

But fear not, we're back again with the return of Willy Porter in just over a month's time! Because Antje's gig would also have been a week later than usual, and to line up with Willy's tour dates, he'll be with us on Saturday 2nd November!

Further details are below, but before we get there please remember, if you want to unsubscribe from this newsletter, change your subscription to receive a Welsh version etc, then please visit the "Newsletter" page on the website ( for options. If that doesn't work, then come along to one of our gigs to complain, or just email us to let us know!

An evening with ... Willy Porter

Willy Porter has been turning first time listeners into die-hard fans for more than two decades. Willy blurs the line between indie-folk and rock with his searing signature finger-picking guitar sound, absorbing lyrics, and playful, high-energy live performance style. He has shared world stages with music icons Jeff Beck, Tori Amos, and Paul Simon, carving out a successful solo career as an artist who makes music that resonates long after the last guitar chord fades.

From the release of his breakthrough album, 1994 ' s Dog Eared Dream, to the launch of his own record label, Weasel Records, in 2005, Willy is an artist dedicated to delivering high-calibre, original musical experiences.

Equally accomplished as a guitarist, singer, and songwriter, his songs weave a universal perspective about the questions, struggles, and triumphs of human existence. His live shows are guitar-driven events--equal parts grit, soul, and muscle--that are electrifying, dynamic, and wholly original in the way that Willy's voice blends and fuses with his galvanising fret work.

Since his first appearance in Penarth with us a year ago, many of our supporters have been asking when he will return - well he's back! Whether in the studio or on stage, Willy Porter gifts listeners with an unforgettable ride, embodying the very best of what live music has to offer.

Please note that tickets for this event are £10 in advance or £12 on the door, if any are left!
