That Vietnam Men's Football game against Malaysia for the AFF Cup that I told you was happening was UNREAL! The celebration was downright WACKY! I posted a lengthy video that is getting a bunch of views on YouTube if you want to check out the wildness that happened on the streets of Hanoi after the victory.
► If you didn't see the photo of me in the tiny chairs of Vietnam having breakfast, here's a laugh.
► The dogs in Asia know how to ride scooters. They get on the floor where the rider's legs are or they hop on the back cushion behind the rider or they RIDE LIKE A BOSS, like this chihuahua that I saw on the streets of Da Nang.
► We give a lot of packing advice on the website and podcast, but you will NEVER hear me tell anyone to buy this piece of personalized luggage. Please never do this to the ones you are traveling with. It's just wrong.
► When you are hanging out during the Christmas break do you grab a book to relax? If you are a reader and plan on finding something new, consider this one from my friend Mikkel Thorup that was just released - Expat Secrets: How To Make Giant Piles of Money, Live Overseas, & Pay Zero Taxes.
► In this week’s podcast episode, we talk about Vietnam with a Friend (Da Nang, Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Quy Nhon).
Back in Da Nang where we have fallen in love with the Vietnamese culture and this time to meet a friend from the US. We spent almost two full weeks seeing Da Nang, Hoi An, Quy Nhon, Hanoi, and Ninh Binh. With such a wide variety of locations, it was a truly authentic experience.
We sat through the crazy rains that would last for days, partied with locals late into the night, ate local food like goat and eel, and went CRAZY as the Vietnam Football team won the AFF Cup. It was a wild, wet, and exciting time to be in Vietnam and we enjoyed every minute of it.
Listen along as we describe our time on our first train trip, a private concert with talented musicians, and climbing way above the rice fields of Ninh Binh for epic photos.
We are grateful to have you following along our journey and the constant support. We are off to Singapore to celebrate the holidays over the next few weeks while doing a petsit of a small dog that I am sure we will spoil with love giving us our much-needed dog fix.
Merry Christmas to you all!
