It’s A Small World After All...

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my big brother and his wife to Da Nang, Vietnam - it will be their first international trip. Not seeing my brother for almost two years has been one of my biggest challenges of the journey. Can't freaking wait!

► This last week was a lot of fun meeting some new and 'old' friends. On Friday night, I used to attend a traveler's meet-n-greet which had people from over ten countries. It was interesting to hear their perspectives on SE Asia and their future travel plans.

► On Saturday, we had a planned dinner with two friends, Charlie and Meg, from the US that we met while in Chile almost two years ago near Patagonia. During their visit to Hoi An, we planned to catch up over dinner and drinks. While walking around the town and sightseeing before meeting them, Nikki and I randomly ran into an Italian friend, Leo, that we met while in South Africa last February. Can you imagine? We were both crossing the same street, and as we looked across at each other, we all started pointing and yelling. SO RANDOM! The world can be so small sometimes. We caught up over drinks and had lunch the next day in Da Nang. Unbelievable.

► Have you ever felt nervous before pressing send on an important email because of spelling or grammar errors? I know I used to all the time when sending emails to clients...I still get nervous before sending these emails. That's why when I found Grammarly, it was a no-brainer for me. I've been using it for over a year with emails I send and all of the content I've created. We list Grammarly and all of the brands we use on the Partners Page that I recently created to share the cool tools we have learned about over the years.

Our podcast episode this week is about Saving Money Ideas (Short Trips or Long Vacations).

Traveling for almost two years straight now on a budget has made us smarter about how we spend our money. We discuss all of the ways that we have saved on the road from creative accommodations, transportation, technology, and more.

We have found ways to maximize our time in lounges and eliminate ATM fees. Wearing the same clothes for two years sucks but not if it is high quality. We also share a few ideas that we have learned from other travelers. Let’s save together and continue to discover the world.

With less than 100 days left on our journey and my brother on the way, I am jumping out of my skin in excitement these days!

Hope your weekend ahead is just as exciting!
