Lessons Learned

Are you ready for the holidays next week? I bet. Just getting back into the flow of American culture and that is one of the things that really stands out - the fast pace. I am sure it has to do with the fact that we are not on 'vacation' anymore either. Regardless, it's been wild jumping all over the place as this next chapter begins to take form.

► Spending time in Kentucky for the wedding of my excellent editor and business partner, Austin, reminded me that I need to get down there to take in the Bourbon Trail. If you have never been to Kentucky, it's something to consider. (Beautiful Wedding BTW)

► We finally upgraded our phones, and I was shocked to see how amazing the portrait mode is on the iPhone. Wow. Wish I had it on our journey.

► People have been asking about ideas for the fall and winter as they make plans. I updated the post: South Africa Guys’ Trip [Ultimate Adventure Travel]. If you have a big birthday coming up or if you are looking for an epic destination, check it out. Cape Town is one of the most beautiful locations on the planet.

► For those Indy-based followers that would like a face-to-face group to share travel stories and tips with, I have created a local I Love Traveling Meetup where we plan to share ideas on how to make your travel dreams a reality. I was surprised to see how many members jumped on board quickly with no advertising. Should be a ton of fun.

► Being able to see the world as we did for 27 months gave us much to ponder as we returned home. In this week's episode of Passport Joy Travel Talk, we reflect on a few lessons learned from traveling, including our new ‘real world,’ patience, our fresh perspective, and building a global travel network. As we transition back to our lives in Indianapolis, our views will likely adjust over time, but we wanted to share what we are thinking within the first few weeks.

Be sure to check out the Partners Page on PassportJoy.com. I got another note this week from a traveler that was excited about the ExpressVPN features and how it helped her watch the World Cup on the road.

Have a great holiday!

Matt
