Nikki and I are currently in Singapore attending an Asia-focused Travel Convention. That said, almost every country is represented, and now we have even more locations that we are hoping to see in person. It’s an educational trip, and we are learning a ton.
Our 8-days in Kuala Lumpur were a blast. The food vendors were lively with some wild options, and there was good street entertainment. I also had the chance to catch the PGA event that was in town, as my buddy Vince came through from the States with a VIP entry. Crazy dots connected around the world.
Try not to steal anything on your next flight, as some people do according to this article.
We’ve been granted ‘influencer’ status by Amazon. Such a whack term. That said, we spent time building a few lists of the things we are missing from home, what is in our bag as we travel, our books, electronics, and other stuff at amazon.com/shop/mattjavit - checking out our stuff before you shop on Amazon is the BEST way to support us.
If you haven’t checked out the newly released Tokyo, Japan episode of World Barber Shop Adventures, please do. I am very excited that the barber pros are loving the series. I was interviewed this week on #BarberLife (episode 31) and it was probably my most personal interview that I have had on a podcast so far.
In this week’s podcast episode, we discuss Overtourism.
Overtourism is a term that is being thrown around a bunch recently as the travel industry has hit peaks in specific locations around the world. Based on our experience, conversations during our journey, and research on travel, we express our opinions on the subject.
We give examples of how we have been affected and what the future might look like. Please listen in and share your thoughts.
Off to meet a friend of a friend here in Singapore. I love how small the world can be.
Hope it’s a great weekend ahead for you!
