18 months! We can’t believe it! Time has flown by. We packed up in February of 2017 with a goal to travel for 2+ years…WOW, it has been amazing.
Japan! Our time in Tokyo has already been fun, and we are just getting started. With 6 weeks planned for Japan, we are attempting to go slow and take it all in. The train system is unbelievably efficient, and a bit intimidating (but I think we got it now) and the people are so incredibly kind. We had dinner this week with a couple of locals that really helped set the stage for our trip ahead.
I’ve booked baseball tickets at one of the most renowned parks in the country and Sumo Wrestling tickets at a sold-out event in September. Both are big sports bucket list items for me so I am geeked up!
I was recently interviewed on The Ultimate Leadership Podcast with Chris Cebollero, and it was a fun conversation about my journey, my thoughts on freedom with fewer things, and leveraging technology while traveling. Chris has a massive following, so it was an honor to be a part of his podcast. Check out the interview when you have time.
In this week’s podcast episode, we reflect back on our 18 months of travel and the places we have been.
We then talk through the last week of traveling which took us to the beautiful city of Tallinn, Estonia for 5 days to enjoy the thriving technology hub of Europe. We enjoyed walking around the walled town and meeting other travelers.
Then we discuss our flights from Tallinn to Copenhagen, Denmark to Doha, Qatar to Tokyo, Japan. We made the most of our visit to Qatar scheduling a night tour of the city which was amazing.

By the way, the positive vibes for extra space on the airplane worked, thank you. Emergency exit row for both long flights. Always be kind to the hardworking airline officials helping at check-in. They can make your life so much better;)
