We are currently in Lisbon, Portugal where we connected with a couple of friends that reached out about their European plans a couple of months ago, so we figured out a way to make it happen. What a time to be in Lisbon! This week’s festivities are so much fun - Portugal Day, St. Anthony’s Day, and the World Cup kicking off today.
Speaking of the World Cup, how awesome is it that North America was awarded the 2026 bid yesterday? Very cool!
Anthony Bourdain - damn! Unfortunate news that has touched many travelers around the world that were inspired by the stories he brought into our homes. I hate that people suffer from this level of sadness and desperation.
This past week has been such a treat to catch up with several friends. From detouring our road trip to meet up with a couple of friends in a small pub in Ireland, to reconnecting with a friend we have now seen on three continents (none being North America), to a former coworker that is a CEO in Ireland - it has been a blast! We get into the details in this week’s podcast episode.
We had a wonderful time on our road trip adventure around Ireland. We had a chance to see many of the beautiful locations - Belfast, Giant’s Causeway, Old Bushmills Distillery, Cliffs of Moher, Curragh Races, Dublin, and the magnificent Powerscourt Hotel. Thanks to our friends from Indianapolis we had a different type of travel experience, spending time in hotels and living luxuriously in some of the more elegant places in Ireland. It was quite a treat! We also discuss how we do our laundry while traveling the world full time. It’s not always as easy as you would think.
Thank you for following along!
