SIGNS OF WONDER: PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE 1862 ROYAL TOUR

Pyramids, sphinxes, temples and shrines: breathtaking early photographs of ancient and often iconic landmarks around Egypt, the Holy Land and Greece feature in this fascinating online exhibition. The images were created by pioneering Victorian photographer Francis Bedford, who accompanied Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (the future King Edward VII) in the first-ever photographed royal tour.
