A few welcome words from Derek

2016 marked 30 years in business for GET Compliance.

Over the years we have seen and experienced some wonderful times, with none more meaningful than the positive feedback we receive from our trainees and business owners who have experienced our uniqueness.

I’m proud to announce the launch of our new website which features the latest information about our courses and services. The new site has a new look and user friendly navigation so the service you require from GET Compliance is never more than 3 clicks away. And even this 57 year old tradie can navigate it with ease!

Our new monthly newsletter – this being the first issue of GETinformed – will include safety tips and important information to help you ensure your work continues to be electrically safe. We will also keep you updated on industry trends, work health and safety alerts, and notices issued by the electrical safety office.

I’m excited to be adding more courses to the GET Compliance offering in 2017, providing opportunities for electrical contractors to expand their business portfolio.

I recently met with our federal government member and raised my concerns regarding safety for school leavers, foreign electrical workers entering the market, training opportunities for electrical workers and electrical safety for all workers. I look forward to achieving more progress in these areas and helping to influence workplace policy for the future.

From myself, my family and the dedicated team at GET Compliance, we wish you a very merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous new year.

Enjoy your time with family and friends, stay safe and I look forward to working with you in 2017.

Derek Green
Chief Executive Officer

Introducing GETinformed, our new monthly newsletter

This is the first issue of our new monthly newsletter, GETinformed. Each month we will share important safety tips, course information, updates on industry trends, work health and safety alerts, and notices issued by the electrical safety office. We hope this becomes a valuable source of electrical safety information for you. We would love to hear your feedback and encourage you to let us know your ideas for articles as we continue our newsletter in 2017.

We also post regular safety tips and industry updates on social media – follow us on LinkedIn and Facebook so you don't miss out on anything.

Start 2017 as your own boss

We now offer the necessary training courses that enable you to apply to become a Qualified Technical Person and/or Qualified Business Person on an electrical contractor licence.

This presents a great opportunity for our trainees and workers who are thinking of starting your own business or want to take on more ownership at your work.

Our Christmas office hours

GET Compliance will be closed from Friday 23 December and reopen for business on Monday 9 January 2017.

This year we are sharing our Christmas wishes via email and social media so costs saved from printing Christmas cards have been donated to the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital. We encourage you to do the same to help sustain our environment as best we can.

From all of us at GET Compliance, we wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.
