Dreamy + Hopeful
At the start of reading this entry, I thought 'dreamy music' meant something I would drift off to sleep to. Now that I've listened to Hazel English's studio track, I'd define it as 'music that makes me feel hopeful and considerate...yet still make me want to dance it out'.

(No idea where this scene is from! If you do, let me know will you?)
While reading the lyrics of the track it initially felt like a depressing story given an upbeat music (I know! Memories of 'Pumped Up Kicks' started to creep in!):
"Driven by fantasy
How do i get back to it once again?
But the dream is all I have"
then the confusing bit:
"What am i doing?
Why am i trying to forget you?"
Then realised that one way to interpret this is a romantic understanding that there is a way to move forward while still honoring the past. This made me think of Alain de Botton's talk about the danger of certain aspects of romanticism and the possible way forward towards a healthy relationship.
Okay...now back to more dancing. :)
