Music In The Wilderness

When I first heard of the film I thought: 'Huh!? Viggo Mortensen is doing a superhero thing!?' Later I came across the trailer and finally understood what it was about. The biggest memory of watching it though was having a version of 'Sweet Child O'Mine'.

(Yep...this is an actual scene in the film. Click here for the gif's source)

Here is an interview (the section starts at 3:17) of three of the stars of the films with them singing a bit.

Thinking of the film's relation to the lyrics:

She takes me away to that
special place
And if I stared too long
I'd probably break down and cry

(The song takes a new meaning when combined with these two lines. To view the gif source click here)

Just like when I heard the version of 'Space Oddity' in 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty'...I was able to gain a new perspective about the song. Both added a little bit to the scene they were featured in.

Notable Covers:

An additional thread to follow for this entry is Candyrat Records's YouTube Channel (Where I found Luca's video) and after a quick scroll seems like it is a label focused on stringed instruments.

Who am I kidding!? They are all standouts...and to quote a comment: "Why all the guitarists on this channel comes from another planet"

Note: Wondering what I meant by 'heart squeeze'? Read more here. :)

(Continuing with the gif from this entry. It's from Season 1 of Rectify)
