Register for an upcoming webinar on the Optional Practical Training (OPT) application process!  OPT is F-1 work permission that can be used before or after graduation. This webinar will introduce you to the basics of OPT, including application timelines, eligibility, types of employment on OPT, and more. Members of the ISSS team will respond to your questions live.

🔍 F-1 Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Webinar 

Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is intended to provide work experience in the U.S. where the work is an integral part of your academic program, prior to completion of that program. This webinar will open with an overview of the CPT application process, eligibility, and timeline, followed by a Q&A with members of the ISSS advising team.

Culture Crossings Excursion

ISSS Culture Crossings is a program that includes workshops, social events, and local excursions aimed at helping Penn’s international community members become more adjusted, integrated, and successful at Penn.

The January 27th excursion takes 15 students to Mask and Wig's 134th Annual Production: A Doomsday in the Life, at 310 S. Quince Street Philadelphia.

Tickets are available for 15 students, and students will be selected based on RSVP, with priority given to students who attend Brunch with Dr. Rudie on the same day.

Students may only attend one excursion and one Brunch with Dr. Rudie every academic year.

Academics Plus 

The Weingarten Center partners with Student Counseling, Penn Libraries, and International Student and Scholar Services to offer dynamic workshops for international undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.

These workshops address language, culture, and resources for students from linguistically diverse backgrounds.
