Facilities Project Updates
The northwest stairwell at Desert Hills is closed due to fitness center construction.
GVR's facilities team is currently working on many projects. Please click HERE for a complete update on the status of those projects.

The Canoa Ranch spa will be closed for maintenance, Wednesday, January 25, 5:30-9:00am
A note from the Aquatics Supervisor:
In an effort to conserve water, we will now shift to performing spa cleanings on an as-needed basis. Last year we dumped nearly 300,000 gallons of water into the sewer, and that is without having a spa at East Center. There are several factors that may, but not necessarily, result in a spa closure for full or partial draining and cleaning:
  1. TDS (total dissolved solids) getting too high.
  2. Excessive oils, both body and tanning on the surface.
  3. Turbidity (clarity) of the water.
  4. Chemical imbalance.
  5. Staining of the plaster surface.
  6. Overall dinginess.
  7. Excessive suds due to soap being introduced to the system. This will result in immediate closure and can take a couple days to rectify.
The next several months will be a trial run to assess the feasibility of this approach to spa cleaning.
