We made it through the never ending January!

Well this has certainly felt like the longest month ever (probably partially due to the cold weather) but at least it was a month filled with some exciting activities! Here's what we've been up to at the Ollie and what's coming up:

The Ollie Seniors
This month our senior knitting group took part in Chase the Chill Boston, a program that leaves warm hats, gloves, and scarves around the city for the homeless during the cold winter months. Our knitting group provided almost half of the supply in January. Chase the Chill was very grateful for their participation.

Our seniors also made regular trips to the South Boston Winter Farmer's Market this month. The Senior Shuttle picked them up here at the Ollie on Mondays so they could buy some fresh produce and stay healthy this winter.

That's right, our Annual "The House is Where the Heart Is" Benefit and Auction is right around the corner so be sure to save the date. More information to come so stay tuned!
Team Ollie for the Boston Marathon!
Our John Hancock Marathon "Team Ollie" is full and ready to go! We have five amazing runners who are passionate about supporting our mission. They've started their training and fundraising but will need your help to reach their goals. The funds our marathon team raise for us are critical to our programs and allow us to continue to support family and neighborhood life in South Boston. Be sure to follow us on Facebook to keep up with Team Ollie's progress!
