Approximately one thousand Iraqi nationals — including many Christians who would face persecution, torture, and death in Iraq — are facing deportation. Though many have lived in places like Michigan for decades, raising U.S. citizen families, contributing to their communities and churches, their futures are now insecure.
Scripture reminds us of our care for fellow Christians who are in danger: “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:26-27)
Ask the White House for Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) to halt the deportation of Iraqi nationals and give time to reopen their immigration cases, and encourage Congress to support this designation!
