The proposed budget for the 2018 fiscal year includes dramatic cuts to domestic poverty programs. The budget plan cuts more than $1.7 trillion from mandatory safety-net programs, including SNAP, Medicaid, refundable tax credits for low-income working families, and TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families).
The CRC has been involved in hunger and poverty alleviation and advocacy efforts for decades. We know that these programs meet crucial needs and protect the lives and dignity of the most vulnerable.
Contact Congress today urging them to oppose these
proposed cuts and to create a faithful budget.
