The U.S. Climate Solutions Caucus aims to provide bipartisan leadership on policies addressing climate change. In order to join, Members of Congress must find someone from across the political aisle to sign on with them. Currently, the Caucus stands at 52 members in the House of Representatives.
The Republican Climate Resolution supports the need to take action on climate change. The partisan resolution currently has 23 cosponsors.
As the Climate Witness Project, we hope to continue to build our positive advocacy relationships with Congress. Within the regions where we have partners are seven Republican and 11 Democratic House members. Between now and summer 2018, we would love to work towards a response from all of our members of Congress on whether or not they might be able to sign onto the resolution or the caucus. We would also like to see at least three Republican representatives in our regions join at least one of these groups.
If you would like to contact your representative and ask him or her to join the Caucus and/or the Resolution to advocate for policies on climate change in Congress, visit our action alert here.
