Ask Congress to Support the People of Gaza’s Right to Peaceful Protest
On March 30, 30,000 Palestinians participated in demonstrations along the Gaza border to commemorate “Land Day” and bring attention to the effects of the blockade on Gazan people. In response, the Israeli military used live ammunition and tear gas on the unarmed demonstrators, resulting in the deaths of 18 Palestinians and injuries to at least 1,400 others. Since then, the death toll has risen to more than 30. The protests are set to end on May 15.
As Christians, we affirm the dignity of all human beings made in the image of God and the value of each individual life. We pray for peace in Israel/Palestine.
Ask Congress to protect the rights of Gazans to peacefully protest and call on Israel to immediately cease the use of live fire.
