We are writing with an urgent request regarding Bill C-262, an Act to ensure that the laws of Canada are in harmony with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
This Thursday, the bill is supposed to be sent to committee for review, thanks to citizen advocacy across the country Please urge senators to be in the Red Chamber on Thursday to vote in favour of this important step and ensure that Canadian law is reconciled to Indigenous rights as outlined in the U.N. Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People.
We’re working with our partners at KAIROS to help create a final surge of advocacy in support of Indigenous rights—will you join us?
