OSJ Action Alert: December 8, 2017

Ask your member of Congress to vote against the tax bill!

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed both the House and the Senate recently. Both legislative chambers need to conference now and produce a final, unified bill. There is still time to speak out against the impacts this tax bill will have on the poor.

Poverty advocates around the country believe the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will lead to significant cuts to vital programs that support people in poverty.

As followers of Christ, we can use the power of advocacy to call for a faithful tax bill during this reconciliation process, one that protects and defends the vulnerable and the critical programs that support their wellbeing.

Ask your members of Congress to vote against the tax bill when it comes back from reconciliation!
