Support a Faithful Budget
to End Global Hunger and Poverty

The federal budget is a reflection of our nation's values. As followers of Christ, we have an opportunity to use the power of advocacy to call for a faithful budget – one that protects and defends the vulnerable.

The administration recently released its proposed budget for the 2018 fiscal year. The proposed budget eliminates food aid, cuts development assistance for many countries where the Christian Reformed Church does ministry and development work, and drastically reduces funding for several global health programs.

The CRC has been involved in hunger and poverty alleviation and advocacy efforts for decades. We do this in response to the call to love our neighbor with an understanding that our broken systems play a role in human suffering. There is good news: we can end global hunger and poverty! But, we can’t do it without these live saving programs.

Will you join us in speaking up for a faithful budget?

Call, email, and tweet your members of Congress today urging them to oppose these proposed cuts and to create a budget that accurately reflects our call to protect and defend the vulnerable.
