The Office of Social Justice works with our Canadian partner, the Christian Reformed Centre for Public Dialogue, to provide advocacy opportunities for Canadians.
Canadian international assistance plays a key role in making the world a better place for everyone. It represents what we aspire to be as Canadians: compassionate and generous.
Globally, extreme poverty has been cut in half since 1990, and Canadian aid has made an important contribution to this dramatic change. However, Canadian aid is falling. Just 26¢ of every $100 that Canada earns goes towards international assistance. Many of our global neighbours give more than twice as much.
Our government needs to know that you care about the role that Canada plays in ending global poverty and hunger.
Tell your MP that you care, and ask them to tell the Prime Minister that Canada can do more.
