Entrepreneurs Wanted
Check out last year's Entrepreneur of the Year.
AWB is looking for the best startup in Washington. We’re still accepting nominations for the 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year.

Just click here to access the form.

This award is given to a business that’s less than 5 years old, and has made a significant impact in its industry.

Finalists will be invited to the 2019 Evening of Excellence, a formal event held each November at Seattle’s elegant Benaroya Hall.

The purpose of the Evening of Excellence is to honor the contributions of Washington’s employer community to the overall success of our state and quality of life.

Awards will also be given to the Manufacturer of the Year, and to companies with exemplary records related to environmental practices,
thriving workplaces and other successes.

On the Road With Rich

RICHLAND – If you’ve ever paid taxes, driven on the Interstate or tried to sell a wheat crop overseas, chances are the U.S. government has made a big impact on your life and your business.

Nearly half of our congressional delegation came to AWB’s Federal Affairs Summit in the Tri-Cities earlier this month, to speak with dozens of employers from all over the state.

And just as importantly, I saw these representatives and a senator chat with our members, pose for pictures and have good conversations throughout the day.

Deadline for Holiday Kids' Tree Sept. 10

Business Manager Barbara Davis of Grant County Fire District No. 8 delivered gifts to families in need last year.
The deadline for rural fire departments to apply for this year's Holiday Kids’ Tree Project is Sept. 10.

AWB is asking the Grassroots Alliance to nominate rural fire departments for this year's project, which gives grants to families and children in need.

Please take a moment to check out our nomination form here.

AWB members have donated more than $420,000 since 1989 to help families during the holiday season. The money is distributed by local fire districts, and pays for things like groceries, school clothes and baby formula.
