Thank you members for supporting the Quabbin Art Association

We are beginning the second year of our membership. Six new artists joined our group at the September meeting. We are looking forward to more art opportunities, exhibits and shared knowledge at our meetings, workshops and events. Meeting minutes are now available on the Meetings page of our website.

Meeting Highlights

The first Quabbin Art Association meeting of the season was held September 21, 2017, with 25 people in attendance.

Welcome to our newest members Nancy Birmingham, Jackie Griswold, Allen Mullen, Jilladele Pasteris, Robert Philbrick, Chris Smith.

Denise Fontaine-Pincince explained the process of completing the Registration Form/Waiver and Artwork Tags for our exhibits. View the Exhibition page on our website.

There is an opening on the Volunteer Committee for an Exhibit Scheduling Chair. The role requires a good amount of time and energy to provide venue viewing and event coordination. We need to make sure the view space is well-lit, open 30 hours per week and the hanging space is appropriate. Contact Denise Fontaine-Pincince if you would like to help.

The Plein Air Painting Group is off to a great start! See our Event  page or contact Bev Phaneuf to add your email address to the Plein Air notification list.

The QAA September 21st meeting program demonstrator, Jackie Griswold, was inspirational. She offered a demonstration of her collage technique to include multi-media and steampunk inspired artwork. A journalist from the Sentinel covered our meeting. Read the article
