29th January 2017
Hi <<First Name>>

Welcome to this week's Newsletter

The Director's View

Theatre photography from the theatrical director's viewpoint. Gaillie Anderson from Contexture Theatre will provide the talk this evening.

Print Round 3 Hand In

The final round of this year's Print Competition - 2 Open and 2 Monochrome images per entry - see who walks away with this year's crowns judged by Ron Tear.

I Shoot People by Dave Mason

Dave Mason, the highly entertaining street photographer who has given several presentations to the Cambridge Club and others, has very kindly agreed to talk on behalf of the Sick Children's Trust in Cambridge.

This will be held on Wednesday 29th March 2017 at the Perse School, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 8QF: wine reception 19.30hr, talk 20.00hr. There is ample free parking on site. Tickets are £10, and thanks to the generosity of the Perse all proceeds will go to the SCT.

Please email Mark Farrington on drmf@ntlworld.com to obtain a ticket application form.

"I SHOOT PEOPLE"
Specialising in candid photographs of quirky and comical aspects of British life, Dave Mason's images have featured in three solo exhibitions, most recently at the Greenwich Gallery. He runs photography workshops in London and lectures regularly up and down the country. He will entertain us with illustrations of the often-surreal happenings on our cities' streets!

The Sick Children's Trust is a national charity, but our local fundraising efforts are focussed on Acorn and Chestnut Houses on the Addenbrooke's and Rosie Hospital sites. These provide free accommodation for families with children receiving inpatient care in the hospital, so families from across East Anglia can stay together and offer each other mutual support at these most challenging times of their lives.

This is a 5' video which explains what the charity works to achieve: it's based on a family's stay at one of the SCT Houses in Cambridge:
