Angel Tree
Angel Tree gift tags are now available. Pick up one or more today! This year’s Grace Angel Tree is up and decorated with gift wishes from area foster children.
For many years now, our Angel Tree project has supported children and families through the Buncombe County Foster Care Association. The “Angels” on our tree in the foyer represent the children and their personal lists, both wishes and needs. Here are a few tips for selection and buying:
· Look carefully at the tags. Let your heart guide you in your choice of a child or children.
· In the same way that parents don’t always buy everything their children wish for, you are not obligated to buy everything on your Angel’s list. Again, listen to your heart.
· For a challenging list, consider combining efforts and resources with someone else in the parish.
· Be sure to attach your Angel Tree tag to the gifts and include a list of items purchased. The number on the tag corresponds to a specific child.
· Call Cheryl Deyton with questions: 828-337-9065.
There are still a few names on the tree. Gifts should be returned to the church by THIS SUNDAY, December 11 for distribution to the families.
Advent in a Bag
Sunday was a great day to be at church and in the lobby of Grace!
On and under the tables in the lobby were the first filled bags of food for our Advent-
In-a-Bag program for ABCCM. Special thanks to all of you who brought these food donations and got us going.
As you’re collecting food for the drive, please grab and use a couple of the cloth- handled Advent bags in the lobby or bring in your food in paper grocery bags.
Asheville Poverty Initiative
A Request and an Invitation. Asheville Poverty Initiative, one of our "Grace Grants" recipients is in need of ground coffee and non-dairy creamer for their 12 Baskets Cafe. If you can help with donations of these items or cash that can be used to purchase them, please bring them to the church office. API is also inviting us to join them for a "Blue Christmas" service Thursday, December 22, 2:30pm. The service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in West Asheville. Angel Tree
Angel Tree gift tags are now available. Pick up one or more today! This year’s Grace Angel Tree will be up and decorated with gift wishes from area foster children beginning Sunday, November 27.
Gifts should be returned to the church by December 11 for distribution to the families.
Advent in a Bag
As you walk through the lobby at Grace this Sunday (or during the week), please get

day, coloring the calendar, and adding the indicated food items to your bag. When your bag is full, please bring it back to the lobby during Grace’s office hours or when you come to church on Sundays through Christmas Day. Last year’s Advent Food Drive blessed ABCCM and the folks they serve with close to 1,500 lbs. of much-needed food.
