Christmas Eve Paper Bag Pageant: Stars, shepherds, animals and angels! Come participate in the Grace Christmas Pageant on December 24 at 4 p.m. Bring your little ones to the parish hall at 3:15 and parishioners will help children pick out simple costumes in paper bags, and then help the children get dressed. Children sit with the family during service and go to the back of the church when instructed. At the end of the service, the costumes are returned to the paper bags in the parish hall. No rehearsal necessary. Create a lasting memory for your children and grandchildren. Anyone interested in helping with the Pageant, please call Shannon Townsend at 713-5081 or Mark Silvers at 424-9471.
Holiday Office Hours: The church office will be closed from Dec. 24 through Jan 1.
It's Vestry Nomination Time! Do you know a member who you would like to nominate to be on the Vestry? Here is a link to the Grace Episcopal Church Vestry Nomination Form. It will give you all the information you need to know, including requirements for eligibility and expectations for a vestry member. Nominations must be returned to the Church Office by December 29th, 2019. You may also pick up a form on the table in the hallway of the Church Office area, or call the office if you'd like us to mail one to you. Our Annual Parish Meeting and Lunch will be held on Sunday, January 12th, 2020 at 11:45 a.m. so be sure to mark your calendars.
Confirmation, Reception, Reaffirmation: Our Bishop is coming and one of the things only bishops can do is confirm and receive. Confirmation is a sacrament and is an adult affirmation of our Baptism. Reception is when someone from another faith tradition wants to join our Episcopal community here at Grace. We prepare for both of these by attending Confirmation Classes, Inquirer’s Class or as I like to refer to: Episcopal 101. If you are interested in being confirmed, received or reaffirming your Confirmation to our Lord we will have Episcopal 101 classes beginning Tuesday, January 21st continuing through February 25th from 6-7:30 pm. The classes are also open to any and all parishioners who want to re-engage our tradition as well as support our new members. Please join us.
A Special Request: It is so exciting that more and more people are joining us for our 10:30 service. With this, lower level parking is at a premium. For those of us who do not have mobility issues, please consider parking in the Upper Parking Lot so those who have difficulty going up and down the hill can park near the church. Thank You!
