We shall pray our way through advent together. Many of you will get an Advent Prayer kit featuring an Advent calendar, the form for Daily Devotions and the lyrics of O Come O Come Emmanuel. My recommendation, review and do the prayer recommended in the Advent Calendar and then use the forms for either morning or end of day for general prayer with O Come O Come Emmanuel as your daily hymn. I'm also attaching it below for all who prefer things electronic! Thanks to Kana for singing for the sing along (video link below) featuring the 1st two verses for your listening/prayer throughout the week.

Farewell Letter From Our Micah Fellow Lisa Abraham
Lisa, our Micah Fellow will be leaving St. Mary's next week. She has done a wonderful job, will be missed and thankfully will be doing ministry nearby. In her own words:

Hello everyone!  I first want to say thank you to every single one of you for how warm and welcoming you have all been. I was nervous to see where this journey would take me and I could not be happier with what has happened. The St Mary’s community is a vibrant, warm and loving place and I am so lucky to have been a part of it even if for such a short amount of time. Through working at the food pantry, I have been able to see the heart and desire that you all have to serve the broader community in Dorchester and Boston. Being there with all of you did show me that there is a desire in me as well to be a part of something that gives back to the community so thank you for inspiring me. Being a part of the 20s and 30s group provided me with a support group and people who I could relate to and explore my faith and spirituality in a safe space. To those of you who have taken the extra step to connect with me, to welcome me and even given me rides home from Sunday service (don’t worry we kept our masks on) I am so thankful. This is a community that I have been so motivated by and grateful for and I will never forget the time that I have spent with you all.

I am sad to be leaving this position and it was not an easy decision to make but something that vocationally felt right. During my work at Epiphany School, I have found what I want to do with my life and career. Working with students is a huge passion of mine and this might be my way of giving back to the community in a different way. I am excited to see where this next journey takes me.

I am hoping that I can say goodbye (for now) to you all and this Sunday at 3pm to 4pm I will have a zoom call open for anyone and everyone to pop in and a way for me to personally thank you for the impact that you have all had on my life. Here is the link: and I hope to see some of you there!!!

Once again, thank you St. Mary’s for being a family to me and for giving me the best experience I could have possibly had.
