Principal's Message

November 9, 2016
Holding Hands

Dear R&DWA Community,

It’s been a quiet week here at school- thank God!  We often don’t take the time to reflect on all the blessings we do have in this land- peace, plenty, organization, law and order.  I am very grateful today for the ability to have our school running smoothly and open for all our children here in Jordan.  May God bless this country and its leaders.

The secondary students completed their 2nd service project time this last Saturday. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to support the students with transportation and supervision as students were able to make a significant impact on the local community through trash clean up, blessing the elderly, encouraging Syrian refugee children, loving orphans, and assisting the work of the Humane Society. I am proud of these students!

While the students are off on their projects, the teaching staff are taking the time for professional development. This last Saturday, we focused on refining and deepening our understanding of developing biblically integrated lessons.

Please continue to pray that our work and residence permits are approved. Also please pray that the FESC will have wisdom as they further pursue the prospect of using the facilities of JETS.

Elementary Art Department

I love teaching Art to your children - they have produced such high quality work this year!  You are welcome to pop into school in the afternoons and see our Art displays.

I am planning a project which uses bottle tops.  I am collecting all colours and sizes but especially smaller ones.  Please send them before Christmas to the class teacher and they’ll make their way to me.

We are running out of newspaper - we use this to cover the classroom tables when painting.  We need this on an on-going basis so please send in throughout the school year.

Please send in an old shirt for your child to wear during messy activities.  I don’t want their lovely school uniform tops to get ruined!
