Dear Roy & Dora Whitman Academy Community,
The results for the 1st semester grades are in, and I am proud to publish the first semester honor roll names of Secondary students (see below). The honor roll is just one of the ways we have to allow students to shine their lights. Students are also recognized for their commitment to good character, artistic and musical talent, drama skills, leadership, and athletic skills through other avenues throughout the year. We are always amazed at the varieties of gifts and talents that God has invested in all of our beautiful students.
Please pray for our high school students as they go out on service projects this coming Saturday. Remember that school dismisses at 12 p.m. and grades 1-8 go home at that time. High school students are back by the normal school dismissal time.
As you may know, long time, treasured R&DWA community members, Dick and Robin Hart, are leaving Jordan at the end of this month. In order for all who wish to have a chance to say their farewells, we will be holding a cake reception for them here at school on Saturday, January 28 from 2:15-3:00 p.m. These two saints have been involved with the school since 1996, tirelessly working to keep the school open and running well. We can’t thank them enough or express how deeply we appreciate all they have done. Please come to send them off well.
On January 23-25, we are sending four teachers off for training at Queen Rania Teacher Training Institute. If you could be available to sub during any of those days for PE, computer, or Arabic classes, please call or email the office. Thanks!
