Highlights from April's Meeting with
Victoria Lennox of StartUp Canada
Congratulations to our Women in Business and
Judy Heffernan Award winners!

The WBN is so pleased to congratulate local business leader Monika Carmichael of Trent Valley Honda, who won the 2019 Women in Business Award! Monika is someone who has forged a path in a male-dominated industry, and is an inspiration to all who know her!
You can read more about Monika and the finalists here.

We are also delighted to announce that Kim Appleton of Emmatt Digital Solutions is the 2019 winner of the Judy Heffernan award. Judy was a local business icon who positively influenced many, many lives through her passion for empowering women. It was a very touching moment to see her daughter Charlina Heffernan-Westbye present the award to Kim Appleton, who is not only most deserving, but was actually a mentee of Judy herself. Judy's legacy continues! Read more here.

Finally, our sincere congratulations to the winners of the Student Business Awards, Tara Spence of Trent University and Jo Oanh Ho of Fleming College. Future business leaders!
