Newsletter #2 November 2017
President's Message

Hello Business Women,

Let me start by saying, speech writing has not become a habit yet. Writing something quick, to the point that is impactful and of value... that's a lot to ask for.

What can I contribute that hasn't already been noted in this Newsletter? Let's see...

Snow is upon us (albeit minimal), but that means we're getting more. So drive with care, get your winter tires installed, and have patience while on the road.

"Christmas isn't a season. It's a feeling." ~ Edna Ferber

"Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone." ~ Charles M. Schultz
  • Our Holiday Gala & Auction is two weeks away. Auction donations are still being accepted. Not sure what to give? If you'd buy it for yourself, chances are a fellow WBN Member would like it too.
  • Shopping locally is a win-win! The WBN Directory can help.
  • Have you visited the WBN Website lately? Check it out. We post program updates, feature articles (under Blog), WBN media links (under News), and more.
  • Have an upcoming Business or Community event you'd like to share? Submit it to the Member News and tap into WBN's social community.
  • Want to get more involved in the WBN Community? Reach out to our Board of Directors for help.
Until next month... aspire to inspire.
Sincerely yours in business,

Lorie Gill

This year our goal is to raise $20,000 in support of the YWCA Peterborough Haliburton Crossroads Shelter's Nutritional Well-being Program. Please help us reach this goal by donating a product or service. You can drop it off by November 30th at the YWCA office at 216 Simcoe St. Click to download an Auction Donation Form.

At the Silent Auction, we accept cash, cheques, and credit cards as payment for your purchases. We cannot accept debit cards, but there is an ATM at the facility.

Good News: The Holiday Inn has set aside a block of standard guest-rooms (2 queens) for the night of the Gala at the rate of $115.00 per night plus applicable taxes … book early to receive this rate!
